Lysipressin Acetate is a pressor peptide and an analog of Vasopressin isolated from marsupials and pigs that binds to VP receptors, which are analogous to human Vasopressin 2 receptors. It is a strong vasopressor used to modulate blood pressure. An endogenous antidiuretic hormone in the majority of mammalian species. It is released into the blood from nerve terminals in the posterior pituitary and median eminence. It is a neurotransmitter in the central nervous system and also involved in multiples physiological processes such as regulating water balance by antidiuretic action.
